Sarah is a physician based in Los Angeles, where she was born and raised. She received her B.A. from Columbia University in New York City and went on to receive her M.D. from Stanford University where she studied the psychological effects on children and young adults who suffer with chronic illness. She did her residency training in Psychiatry at The Neuropsychiatric Institute at UCLA and has had a Private Practice. Her journey with Plasminogen Deficiency began at three weeks of age, when she first developed symptoms, but the disease remained unknown most of her life, with no real treatments available. As such, she knows first hand the difficulties of living with ultra-rare disease, and aims to help families traverse this space.
